Luisa Castellanos, our COO, Ken Tsang, our CTO, and I are thrilled to share the latest milestone for Science On Call – the successful closing of a $2.6 million seed round of financing for the company.

A Passion Born of Experience

My north star has always been the following:

"How can I make this experience better for the team in the restaurant, as well as my own team."

From dishwasher to fry cook, from English teacher to musician, every role I’ve assumed has contributed to my journey. I've been able to live in the confluence of technology and hospitality for most of my adult life. Something that resonated with me early on was the hustle and camaraderie present in every successful hospitality operation. Everyone loves being part of a crew, part of an elite team, and that's what we've been humbly called to do: support elite teams and remove the obstacles presented by their tech stack.

Our journey began by identifying the challenges faced by restaurants in dealing with tech issues. Common problems, such as POS hardware/software failures and internet disruptions, can have a cascading effect, resulting in lost revenue and customer dissatisfaction. As managers and shift leads struggled to address these challenges, we saw an opportunity to provide swift, accurate solutions. This realization laid the foundation for Science On Call's lightning-fast, AI-powered help desk.
